Sterilization and Infection Control
The health and safety of our patients has always been a top priority at TimberCrest Dental, and with the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve invested in additional equipment and training to ensure your safety and peace-of-mind.
Keeping You Safe
Details Matter at TimberCrest
Dr. Luther shares your concern about the spread of disease and works hard to safeguard himself, his staff, and – most importantly – his patients against infection.
When you visit our dental office in Appleton, WI, you will see a clean office carefully maintained by a well-trained staff. Our dental team will always wear gloves, eye protection, and complete protective wear during each procedure. After each patient, they discard those gloves, wash and disinfect their hands and put on a new pair of gloves. You, as a patient, will also receive sunglasses during any procedure to help protect your eyes.
Your protection starts long before you ever enter the treatment room. Here are a few of the things that you don’t see: All surfaces are cleaned and disinfected; staff members sterilize all instruments after their use and dispose of anything that is potentially infectious.
Dr. Luther and his staff want you to know that your protection, care, and comfort are our top priorities. That is why we meet or exceed the highest infection control standards.
Going Above and Beyond
Whole-Office UV Air Purification
Ultraviolet germicidal light is a trusted control method used in hospitals, water
treatment facilities, and food and beverage plants nationwide.
Our office has implemented a state-of-the-art high-output UV system that reproduces enough natural germicidal rays to kill germs and control allergens as they move through the ventilation system. It is not a chemical treatment but is deadly to the micro-organisms that spread throughout a building. It does not pose a threat to people, equipment or indoor environment.
We are proud to take every opportunity we have at our disposal to keep TimberCrest patients comfortable and safe!
Going Above and Beyond
Oral Aerosol Vacuum Systems
We don’t stop at just masks and gloves to help keep our staff and patients healthy! Along with our UV air purification system, TimberCrest has also implemented cutting-edge negative-pressure vacuum systems designed to remove odors, vapors and particles away from the immediate breathing area of the doctor, assistant and patient.
These adjustable vacuum systems are placed next to each patient chair to help remove potentially harmful impurities from the air:
- Airborne Particles and Smoke
- Airborne Viruses and Bacteria
- Water Spray Aerosols
